chalk talk
When I saw this project on kickstarter, I immediately thought of my stepdad.
So, I have backed this, a local Georgia film, in memory of him.
I only wish I could share a screening of it in his den when I receive my award.
Yes, I believe it is worth every bit of a Benjamin to own this piece of history, to be created by SCAD student Chris Durenberger, in honor of aging veterans.
Nicely done.
No dialogue. Morse code, as interpreted through contacts of chalk on a board, transmitted from one classroom to another through the wall.
You never know what time travel machine will be used to transport memories.

Filming This Weekend!
Chalk Talk is filming this weekend! The characters are cast, costumes bought, chalkboards made and crew assembled. Everything is ready and I could not be more excited.
Thank you so much for all of your support. This film will exist because of YOU.
I apologize for not keeping you up to date with my progress. Everything has been happening so quickly that I have simply not had the time. Filmmaking is a very involved process and it requires the "all" of a lot of people.
I am so happy that we have met our Kickstarter goal. Even though we have surpassed it I can not emphasize enough how every additional dollar has a very important place in the production and will greatly help. I set the Kickstarter to the absolute lowest amount needed to make the film to help reach my goal. With every film there are always additional obstacles and unforeseen variables that affect the budget. Chalk Talk is no exception.
As I send this message there are only 24 hours left before the Kickstarter ends. If you are able, any additional donation would truly help a great deal. This money would go toward feeding the child extras, renting additional camera equipment needed to pull off some of the films shots and paying for necessary additional time at the location. Any monetary surplus that the film has will then go toward paying for film festival entry fees to get the film seen by as many people as possible.
I cannot thank you enough for your support thus far. I owe you all so much and am trying my hardest to provide you with a film you will be proud to be a part of.

All Because Of You!
The last post-work is finishing up for 'Chalk Talk'. Test screenings have already begun and the film's reception could not be more positive! It was a long road to completion but due to the hard work of a great many people and all of your generous contributions to the film, 'Chalk Talk' is everything I thought it could be and so much more. I will start sending out all of your pledge rewards when the film is 100% complete at the beginning of May. Till then enjoy these production photos, film stills and the official Chalk Talk Poster! If you would like to see more of all of these things please visit my official website at http://www.chrisdurenberger.com/whats-new/
Thank you all so much for your support.

I know my stepdad - a veteran of World War II - would be so pleased that this project has come so far. I know I sure am proud of y'all!
